The beautiful and vibrant little Honeysuckle Creeper is known as the I'Iwi. It is on the endangered list, however, the location I was able to safely photograph these beauties, they were actually thriving. In a remote and protected haven, they are above the frost line and safe from dangers such as mosquitos. This lovely 12"x15" original was painted with professional French watercolors on 140lb. Arches watercolor paper. It is matted in an 18"x24" custom black lacquer frame with soft grey striations called Dutch Lines. The under matboard is a beautiful tatsumi silk in Dynasty red with the top matboard being an eye catching yellow ensure the plumeria pops. This beautiful piece is secure behind UV Conservation Glass and now lives on it's native island in Hawaii.
